Bret Armstrong (a former member of the Queens Royal Lancers Regiment) a Transport Planner at Jigsaw, recently took part in an 8K run at Guildford Army Vehicle Training Ground and raised £270 for a charity very dear to his heart, Combat Stress.
Bret joined the armed forces in 2007 and was sent to Afghanistan in 2010 for three years where he was part of the Formation Reconnaissance Regiment (behind enemy lines), which significantly impacted him and many of his comrades. Bret is now a Transport Planner at Jigsaw and is very focused on developing his new chosen career. “We are so proud of Bret’s achievements, particularly bearing in mind the challenges he and many ex-army, front line personnel are faced with and we a delighted to continue supporting him on his journey with us.” Said Claire Taylor, HR Manager.
Bret said, “I am so pleased to be able to give something back to Combat Stress, who continue to help me through a long recovery period. Their support and patience has been endless. I would also like to thank Jigsaw from the bottom of my heart for all their support and guidance as well as those that generously sponsored my run and enabled me to support this incredible charity.”
