Jigsaw, the UK’s leading provider of large-scale managed transport solutions, is pursuing a series of multi-million-pound contracts after a successful exhibition at this year’s Multimodal show initiated commercial discussions with a number of potential new clients.

Attending the show for the seventh time, Jigsaw used the opportunity to develop new business as part of the EV Cargo logistics group. It has previously secured contracts with global consumer brands from show attendance and this year again saw a number of business enquiries from large-scale manufacturers and retailers.

Jigsaw’s managed transport solutions allow for a fully-scalable solution and its integration of network transport with warehouse, clients and suppliers helps simplify transport of freight for its customers.

Tender processes and contract discussions are now underway with all the prospects, with Jigsaw’s commercial team keen to highlight the company’s offering and unrivalled national haulier network.

It is this national network of hand-picked hauliers with extensive local knowledge, which ensures seamless delivery quality across the UK. Jigsaw also used Multimodal to meet with its current partners and engage with potential new chilled and ambient transport companies that have the ability to assist Jigsaw’s flexibility during peak volumes and provide enhanced network strength.

Andy Humpherson, Jigsaw managing director, said: “Once again the Multimodal show has proved extremely beneficial in terms of business development and discussions around new commercial opportunities. Many of our clients and potential customers go to market every three to five years and we’re currently in tender discussions for a number of managed transport contracts.

“Jigsaw’s offer is unique, we have an unrivalled national partner network and offer a scalable solution with volume flexibility. Our operations are underpinned by technology-led systems and expert account management teams.”
